10 Things

It the season to be jolly. Or the season to be sad. So I have been thinking about the past year and how much I haven't achieved! So I'm setting up early for my new years resolution, and these are a few things for me to keep in mind !!

1-  Travel. If not the world, then the UK. Go to places and meet people
2- Physical challenge, 5k or 10k. Training WILL be needed
3- GET FIT! I used to be a size 10, and now I'm a 14/16. Its not bad, but its not toned I need to get back to being fun and fit, enjoying exercise!
4- Learn a language
5- BLOG MORE!!
6- Become more crafty. Im crafty anyway, but this could be the start of something ?
7- See old friends more often.
8- Make more of an effort with myself, hair , make up, and clothes.
9- Save money!
10- Have a clear out, and take things to charity shops etc!

Winter favourites !

All I can think is knitwear, berry lips & brushed cotton covers!! And this year everything seems so reasonably priced, which makes it even more exciting!!!

So this grey H&M jumper is my life. I have been wearing it nearly everyday, as its so comfy and you can wear it with ANYTHING!! Today I wore it to work with my black skinny jeans and black loafers, but I've also worn it with a floral skater skirt, which looks lovely as the jumper is slightly oversized!

If you didn't know already, I'm slightly addicted to Alex Monroe jewellery. I already have 2 pieces from his collections, one being his iconic bee, and the second being a burts bees edition necklace, which is just beautiful. But now his new collection has been released and I'm again, slightly obsessed. Its called the Haberdashery collection, and its based on vintage finds within your old sewing box, which is perfect for me, as I love a bit of crafts, sewing and D.I.Y. The scissors for me are a real winner, they are just so dinky and cute, and you can layer them with other pieces from his collection, so it looks like my christmas list will be expensive this year !!

Also its that time of year again for Berry lips. Now I have a face full of freckles, and a very pale complexion, so usually I stick with the more neutral shades, but its party season, and I'm thinking of going bold, and this lipstick really stood out to me at my local space NK.  The lady applied it really well, which made me feel even better about wearing it, so I'm feeling a little splurge coming along, beware bank account!

Flannelette !! I love Flannelette!!  Its so cold and windy, and all I want to do is snuggle up in a nice brushed cotton duvet cover. And as christmas is around the corner I thought these sheets were perfect, they look very cosy, and I can imagine getting into bed, reading a good book & drinking hot chocolate. I can't waiiittttt !!!!

So thats my favourites, what are yours ??

Its that time of year again ..

Oh yes, its that time of year again, the digging out of the decorations, the writing of lists, and of course the music that fills our ears and our hearts. Christmas. I guess halloween and bonfire night flew by so quickly we all forgot it was the season to be jolly. I for one defiantly did.

My anxiety and depression has been running me wild. Basically ruining my relationship with my partner. Its such a struggle, I try and put on a brave face each day, in the end it becomes exhausting, making me feel even worse. I try and focus on the good, but sometimes I think 'is this my life?' and yes it is. Working in a retail job, next to minimum wage, not affording rent, yet affording to eat every rubbish food I can find, which results in my extreme weight loss. When did life get so meh. I guess there are ups & downs, its a personal journey in which I'm sure a lot of you are going through. <p>

Anyway, I have ordered some really good pens, so I'm going to start my christmas cards early and get on the typography hype :)

3 things

Each week I'm going to do a '3 things' post, which is basically my wish list shortened. Brilliant. I'm kinda hoping someone special will have a look and get some christmas ideas!!!

Firstly I've chosen this super awesome famous feline poster. Ive had my eye on it for a while and I think it will look amazing in a nice oak frame hanging on my wall, plus I have four cats, so why wouldn't I get it ? :))

Next are these super cute embroidery scissors with a stork on!! How brilliant are these ? Im in the process of making pom pom garlands, and I think these would help me out a lot, as I misplace most of my scissors, but these would be to cute to lose. Also for upcoming D.I.Y projects, they would be faaab!

Lastly I've adored these felt cat fairy lights, again they are cat related so I'm obviously going to love them. But I also LOVE fairy lights, especially around this time of year, nothing better than getting home from work, lighting a few candles, switching on your fairy lights and having a cup of hot chocolate !

So thats my 3 faces for this week, hope you're all having a good Monday!!

Time to get sorted !!

I feel its time for a 'Autumn clean out'. I am super excited for Christmas, now Halloween has passed I can really get into planning for the festive season! Today I went to the Christmas market in my town on the search for stockings, but unfortunately none of the stores had any, such a pickle!! So I ended up buying some awesome christmas decorations that were so cheap I could have jumped with joy!! Its hard to find nice decorations that you aren't spending ridiculous amounts of money on, so I was chuffed ! Now back at the flat, I am making a list of things to be done this week, as the flat is a tip, and we moved in two months ago -.-.

Mornings.. So this is just a general thing to do. I'm always freezing, and I always want to stay in bed (who doesn't!!) but I'm 23 now, and things need to change. On my days off I don't want to be lounging around, I want to be up early, have breakfast, go for jog, visit a national trust on a foggy morning, drink hot chocolate and GET PRODUCTIVE !! Making, baking, cycling, crafting… Anything! As long as I am snug, I can do it, as the cold really gets to me, and can change my mood from calm, to the devil!!

Bag check.. Owning an expensive bag means nothing to me. But it should. I saved through most of my teenage life for a Mulberry handbag, and now I have one, I abuse it. My poor hobo bag, filled with receipts, odd coppers, wrappers, lip balms, I mean the list is endless, but that has to be done. Theres nothing more horrific whilst standing at a checkout, going to grab your purse from your bag and you pull out a handful of receipts and chocolate wrappers. Time to take control, I keep my life in my bag, so if thats a mess, then what is my life?

Do more yoga.. I used to be such a yogerer (thats not a word, but you get my drift..) and then I stopped. I don't know why, but I just stopped. Then a couple of weeks ago, after a hard day at work, I made space for my mat, and started stretching. Now I didn't realise I would be so inflexible after not doing it for a while, so I'm getting back on top of it. It feels so good to stretch out my back and my upper limbs, god know why I stopped !!

Visit my gramps.. My grandad recently had a stroke and has become blind from it. He was so independent and sociable, and now he doesn't even know what time it is. Its breaking my heart writing about it, but its something I have to do, otherwise it build and it builds! I think I will wrap him up warm and take him for a stroll round the home, so he ca feel the breeze upon his face, then get him excited about the festive season!! Anyway hope you all have a good week !!
